Every year New York State honors the men and women of the fire service who have died in the line of duty. This year’s observance will include Buffalo Firefighter Donald Herbert who died February 21, 2006 as a result of injuries sustained while fighting a fire in December 1995.

All members of Local 282 are invited to attend this year’s observance to honor one of our own fallen brothers. Any member wishing to attend should contact their District Trustee before Friday, October 5th. Travel arrangements will be dependent on the number of members attending.
