It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Captain Thomas M. Gallagher of IAFF Local 280-Syracuse, New York. Brother Gallagher, 59, died on Tuesday, April 17, 2007 from cancer. The visitation will be held on Thursday, April 19, 2007 from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Edward J. Ryan & Sons Funeral Home, 3180 Bellevue Avenue, Syracuse, New York 13129, (315) 468-3443). The funeral will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, 417 South Orchard Road, Syracuse, New York 13219. All uniformed personnel are asked to assemble at the Church at 9:30 a.m. Condolences can be sent to Local 280 at: P.O. Box 11161, Syracuse, NY 13218-1161.

It is with deepest regret and sorrow to report the line-of-duty death of Fire Fighter Kyle Wilson of IAFF Local 2598-Prince William County, Virginia. Brother Wilson, 24, died Monday, April 16, 2007 from smoke inhalation/burns while fighting a house fire. The viewing will be held on Friday, April 20, 2007 from 2:00 to 4:00 and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the Miller Funeral Home, 3200 Golansky Boulevard, Woodbridge, Virginia 22192, (703) 878-2273. The funeral will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007 at 4:00 p.m. at the Nissan Pavilion, 7800 Cellar Door Drive, Bristow, Virginia 20136, (703) 754-6400. Further information regarding apparatus staging will soon be put on Prince William County's website at www.pwcgov.org. Donations can be made to the Kyle Wilson Fund and sent to the Prince William County Professional Fire Fighters Local 2598, 5521 Mapledale Plaza, Dale City, VA 22193. Funds will be used to assist the Wilson family. Expressions of sympathy and condolences can be sent to the same address.
